An apple a day...

Well, we have been eating at least an apple a day since last weekend when we went to an apple orchard. It was the first time we have ever done this, I was inspired by a friends pictures, so I googled apple orchards (you would be amazed how many there are), and we headed out last Saturday. We had a really great time, the weather was perfect for pickin' apples!
Lilly loved to bag 'em...
Lucas loved to pick 'em! And he was amazing with the "apple grabber"...not sure what the official name is for that thing is.
Lilly just picked them the old fashion way.
Proud Mr Lucas, showing his catch.Lilly was really only interested in tasting the goods. I seriously think she ate at least three apples while we were there.
I think the bag of apples behind Lilly is bigger than her...needless to say if you want an apple pie...just place your order here! They are heavy on the cinnamon and have perfect crumbly tops! Yummo!

I love these pictures! What a great idea to take the wagon. After 35 years we still have our wagon!

Oh I am so glad you guys got to go, it is so fun to pick apples with kids. There are so many yummy recipes out there you can make with apples. This is a tradition we have been doing every Fall for quite some time! Glad you guys had fun.
