The Bumbo

I'm so cute in my little pink stripes!
Lucas laughing at mommy...Lilly looking at me like I'm nuts.
Kisses from Big Brother!
So they have come out with this new Bumbo Seat which allows you to sit your baby up once she can hold her head up. This is new since Lucas was born and my friends have said good things so we bought Lilly one for Christmas. She loves it! She is really into checking out everything around her and especially loves to watch Lucas. So I had her sitting on the table last week while we ate lunch and then decided maybe I could actually get a picture of the two of them together! I kept trying to get Lilly to smile which was actually making Lucas laugh his head off...at least one of my children think I am funny!

Day Out

Evan laughing at Lucas in Aly's Easter Bonnet!

Ethan giving me the stink eye and Lucas and Aly playing house.
Aren't they cute? (Notice Ethans hands in the window)
We got together with our College friends on Saturday and the girls went out shopping, lunch and pedicures and the boys took the kids to the Childrens Museum and watched them most of the afternoon until we swapped and they went out for awhile that evening. It is always nice being with friends...and having some time away from the kids is an added benefit. Thanks boys! Well, I didn't get pictures of all our great looking toes- but I did get some great pictures of the kids playing together. They like hanging out with their friends too!

The dreaded haircut

Hee hee...mom will never find me inside this box! (Notice the shag)
No mommy no! I don't want to cut off my beautiful locks of hair!
Oh Mom! I look so silly...no one will ever want to play with me again!
I am going to hide inside this box forever!
Well, Lucas got his hair cut out in the garage just like daddy does! As you can see it was a little traumatic for Lucas to get his haircut...he is kinda a hair twirler when it comes to night night time. Even though I kinda butchered it slightly...he is surviving and at least there isn't an inch of hair hanging over his ears anymore!

Snow and Snot

Well, snow and snot are the only things that have happened to us this past week. I thought I would spare you the pictures of the snot hanging 12" off Lucas' nose...but above are some pics of all the snow! These are mostly for our cousins out in San Diego- you gotta miss it a little bit don't you guys??? Thought this would also be a good way to show some pics of the house to those who haven't seen it. I will post some inside renovation shots at some point. Well, hopefully with another week we will all be well. Tim has somehow stayed healthy and is doing a good job at taking care of us!

A Day of Love

Lucas and Lilly wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentines Day! As you can tell our house is always full of love...never tantrums, just love. And right now it is also full of Bronchilitis! Lilly only squeaks instead of crys because she is so horse, and Lucas, Mommy, and Daddy are just starting to get the funk as well. Gotta love those breathing treatments and sleepless nights. I guess we won't be leaving the house anytime soon...especially with the foot of snow outside!

Sit, Shake, Good Dog!

Lucas lining up his dogs, saying SIT and SHAKE to each one.
Lucas is not only into his cars and choos choos right now, he LOVES his little dogs. He got these from Linda and Cheryl for Christmas, along with the doghouse, and he plays with them all the time. He tries to carry them all in one big armful. He also takes them for walks on their leash, trys to feed them his cereal at breakfast, he has them drink out of Wrigley's water bowl...and he also gave one a bath in Wrigley's bowl before mommy could catch him! So, Lucas may not play with babydolls, but he does know how to nuture his pets. :)

3 Months Old

Lilly is 3 months old today. She is growing so fast. Her smiles just brighten mommy and daddy's day. We love our new little girl.

Playdog

I thought this would be a good picture if there was a "Playdog" magazine out there. Wrigley isn't even suppose to be up on the futon...let alone with his head on a pillow. Sometimes they are just too cute to get yelled at though. Gotta love those dogs.

All Aboard!

Check out the static hair on Lucas! Neil and Piper were both over to play yesterday. It got a little wild when I set up the Thomas train tent. They all loved it and just kept crawling in and out, screaming, looking out all the windows, knocking it over and then crying when it did get knocked over and then screaming with joy when I would set it back up again. Life can be so emotional with 2 year olds. As you can tell from the looks on their faces they had a the best time...well at least the best 15 minutes...atttention spans can be very short with 2 year olds also. :) Thanks for the tent Nana and Papaw!

Watching the game from a different perspective...

Four kids in the house...I mean three kids and Tim.
This is Ethan asking his mommy why Lucas is being such a bully and not letting him into the house? Alison looks pretty upset that Lucas is being so unreasonable. Those 2 year olds!
Lucas starting to climb OVER Tim to go out the window.
We got together with our group of college friends to watch the Superbowl on Sunday, most had their children in tow. As you can tell the play house was the most popular place to be. Tim ended up watching at least 30 minutes of the game through the window of this little house. Lucas asked him to come inside and once he was in there, Lucas would not let him leave. It got pretty crowded, but Tim was a trooper! Lucas wants to apologize for being a bully- hope Neil's hands are ok after being smashed in the door! All in all, everyone had a great time- thanks for hosting Maples!

Lilly's Baptism

The Family...(Tim thought Lucas looked Amish)
I was hoping the Holy Water might cure the cradle cap...

Little Lilly in her new dress on her new blanket!
Well, what a great Sunday we had! Lilly was baptized in the morning and the Colts won the Superbowl that night! We had a great day- Most of our family came out to join us for Lilly's baptism. Ben and Amanda were the Godparents but could not make it since Noah has bronchitis so our friend Dave stepped in as a temp. Thanks Dave! Jamie would have joined him but Neil was screaming in the cryroom at the time (we feel your pain Jamie). Lucas actually made it through the service (for once) and Lilly was a trooper and didn't cry once. Lilly was decked out for the occassion- Nana made her beautiful new dress, Great Aunt Michelle had given her the hat and matching shoes and she got a beautiful quilt from Gram to top it all off! Thanks to all! Wish everyone could have been there! Hope to see you all soon.
