Elle's Birthday!

One of Lucas' girlfriend's Elliot turned 1 this weekend! At the rate my friends are having kids we will probably be going to birthday parties every other week for the next few years! The weather was beautiful and we had a great time hanging out with our college friends!

Cereal

Lilly got to have cereal for the first time last week. Daddy got to feed her and she ate pretty well...when she wasn't shoving the bib in her mouth that is!

Isn't she the most beautiful little girl? She already is showing her personality and is typically all smiles or giggles. She is just growing so fast...how do you make it stop??

Weekend of Swinging

We started the weekend swinging at Miss Hannah's house...

We ended the weekend swinging at Aunt Jo Jo's house...she has a BIG swingset! What great weather we had this weekend! Does this mean the snow is finally going to stay away?? Hope everyone else enjoyed their weekend and if you haven't swung as high as you can in awhile- we suggest a visit to the park! Pump those legs!! :)

Picnic at the Park

We met Tim after work yesterday for a picnic at a great park in Plainfield. Lots of wonderful paved trails and playgrounds. It was nice to actually have some warm weather again. Lucas and Lilly were so cute on the swings and Lilly went down the slide for the first time. You could tell Lucas hadn't been able to get out in awhile. He had no interest in eating, he just ran circles around the picnic table...he did scarf down his pbj on the way home though! The dog got to join us too...we all slept well last night!

Lucas' went to his friend Aly's 2nd birthday party this past weekend- a Dora theme. The kids played, ate cake and ice cream, then ran around like crazy working off the sugar rush and then basically crashed out at the end. Always good times for a two year old when there is cake involved! Happy Birthday Aly!

Hope Everyone had a good Easter weekend! We are still enjoying ours b/c Tim has the day off today. We accomplished alot this weekend; working on the kitchen, Dying of Eggs, opening Easter gifts, Easter egg hunt (indoors), enjoying a fire (since it is snowing outside!), getting dressed up and going to church, heading up North for a Hess family gathering, eating lots of food (and Lucas being filled with sugar), and then heading home and both kids finally passing out after a scream session...and then today we went to the Children's Museum (but forgot the camera). We were all ready for an afternoon nap. Hope your Easter was filled with as much joy and fun as ours. We are truly blessed!!

Well, I think eventually I will have to teach Tim how to braid his little girls hair. He does seem to have a knack for styling both Lucas' and Lilly's hair...usually into mohawks though. He bought her the barretts for her Christmas stocking and we finally put one in...she pulls it off well. Seems she is going to keep her daddy's hair color...now we will just have to wait and see if she gets his curls!!

Falling down out in the trails behind our house. Lucas and his Buddy Neil got to have a playdate yesterday. It was beautiful outside. First they had a bicycle race, then played baseball and soccer and then we went for a walk on the trails behind our house. It was actually a wagon ride but on the way back they both wanted to walk. Lucas would fall down on purpose and Neil would help pull him up. Then they even held hands for a bit...cute for now...not so cute when they are older!
